Visiting Cuyahoga Valley National Park
This post was way overdue! When I was in Ohio with Chris a few weeks ago, we went to Cuyahoga Valley National Park, a short drive away from his new apartment. There were miles upon miles of hiking trails, along with a really long bike trail, the Ohio and Erie Canal Towpath Trail, which was really busy with bikers and made me wish I had my bike with me! Akron Rubber Ducks 5K
Friday Chris and I drove back out to Ohio (we stopped in Pittsburgh first) and arrived in Ohio on Saturday. The reason we are here is because Chris got a job here and is officially an Ohio resident. Things are going to be different, but I’m trying to look on the bright side of things. I’m here helping him get settled until Friday, when I fly to Boston for the Runner’s World Heartbreak Hill Half Festival. Anyway, Sunday morning we decided to run the Akron Rubber Ducks 5K. Memorial Day Weekend 2014 – Ohio City
Memorial Day Weekend 2014 was pretty epic. Chris and I traveled to East Lansing, Michigan to attend our friends’ wedding at Michigan State University. On our way to Michigan we stopped in Cleveland, Ohio. It was the first time I have ever been to Ohio or Michigan. We stayed at the most perfect B&B in the Ohio City part of Cleveland, called the J Palen House. It was a great B&B and I would highly recommend it if you ever find yourself in Cleveland and need a place to stay.
