    Girls’ Night Out and a Wet Long Run

    Happy Saturday! Last night was girl’s night! Every few months my college girlfriends and I like to get together to meet for dinner & drinks. Last night we met at Brown’s Brewery for some tasty brews and and a delicious meal! I ordered one of my favorites at Brown’s, the Cherry Raspberry Ale, complete with the cherry! For my meal I went with my old standard, the black bean & barley burger. I also got a side of broccoli instead of fries, because, this is a healthy living blog, after all!     Delmar Dash

    Its finally Springtime in Albany!!! This morning was gorgeous! Perfect weather for the Delmar Dash! Heather, Chris and I went to Delmar this morning to run the 5.0 mile Race. The Fuel: Van’s organic waffles with TJ’s peanut butter, maple syrup and granola. Yum! The Course: 5.0 miles through residential Delmar. The company: Heather and my boyfriend Chris! Heather did amazing! The Delmar Dash was her longest race to date and she ROCKED IT! Go woman! This is the 7th race Chris and I have ran together! The Results: 5.0 miles in 43 minutes and 53 seconds!     Bring on 13.1

    Two years ago this girl never would have considered running a mile. One year ago this girl was training to run her second 5K in under 37 minutes. One week from today I will be running my first half marathon. I’ve come so far and I’ve worked so hard, and I’ve never wanted anything so bad in my life. And its SO CLOSE I can taste it.     So, my blog was down all of today, so I’m just getting around to posting something! Happy Friday everyone! I don’t know about you but my day went by sooo slow.
