    Inadequate Fueling

    Because I forgot to re-start my Garmin at one point during the end of the run (I have a bad habit of doing that lately) I'm guessing I ran around 17.8, but I'll take that. ... I thought I had eaten enough last night since I made a home made pizza (and ate half...but the pieces were small)

    Prepping for a Long Run

    Yesterday marked my longest and best run of marathon training! After last Saturday’s half marathon, I was feeling a bit defeated. My legs were hurting around mile 8 and I didn’t know how I was ever going to run 17 miles the following weekend. I ended up getting a cold on Wednesday, so I knew I had to rest some to get my energy back up for Saturday’s run. I ended up skipping Thursday’s run to get more rest.     A 15 Mile PDR

    Yesterday morning my running buddy Melissa came over for a long run. We have been running our long runs together for the past few weeks and its been enjoyable! Melissa is training for the Richmond Marathon too as well as a Triathlon. She’s running her Tri next weekend and I’m sure she will rock it! Anyway, we’ve been running through the countryside right outside Albany to make sure we’re getting our hillwork in.     Marathon Training Update

    I’m officially into Week 6 of Marathon training. How did that happen so fast? Anyway, so far, so good. I haven’t done any distance I haven’t done before, so right now it just feels like I’m training for a half marathon. Its going to get real in a few weeks when I have to run a 15 miler…that will be my longest distance I’ve ran to date, and that isn’t until the first weekend of September…which actually isn’t that far away now that I think about it.
