    A few weeks ago I was contacted by Fresh Blenders, a company that sells bagged fruit for smoothies. Some of the fruit they sell include apples and pears.     Weekend Happenings

    I spent Friday night with my cousin, Liz and my friend Caitlyn! We had plans to go to Troy Night Out, but the weather had other ideas. It started storming, so we made a quick stop for dinner at Bacchus Pizza instead. Since it was Friday, we had a bit of a wait, but it was probably only 15 minutes. Not too bad.     The Perfect Smoothie

    Somehow last night I ended up in a fifteen minute “just abs” class at the gym. I was  going to Body Pump, since I’ve been attending faithfully twice a week  for the past few weeks for my challenge. Apparently, there is a class right before Body Pump that focuses on ab work. Well, I was already in the room, so I was stuck.  Man, the ab work was hard! I think I did my crunches wrong because today I have a sore neck. I need to practice better crunch form. I think I’ll be going back!     Berry-Purple Smoothie

    I assure you besides eating delicious pizza and amazing vegan cupcakes I do eat healthy meals in between. 😉 Yesterday I took the smoothie route. I’m all out of chocolate protein powder so yesterday I decided to do without and make a delicious Berry-Purple Smoothie for breakfast. Ingredients 3/4 cup of vanilla unsweetened almond milk 1 banana, sliced and frozen 5 frozen strawberries 1/4 cup of frozen blueberries 1 TBSP of chia seeds 1/2 TBSP of ground flax seeds 2 TBSP of raw rolled oats Instructions 1. Throw everything in blender, mix well and enjoy!
