    What I Did on 11/11/11

Since 11/11/11 only comes around once a century, I figured I would keep track of what I did. The morning started out like any other day and Chris and I went to the gym. Unfortunately I was tired and unmotivated. I attempted a run on the treadmill but I wasn’t into it, and then hopped on the elliptical for a little bit. Oh well, at least it was better than nothing, right? Chris and I then went to lunch at a new favorite of ours, Illium Cafe in Troy! We were also celebrating our 2 year anniversary of dating a little bit early. 😉 For lunch I went with the…

    Philly’s South Street

After driving a little over four hours, yesterday Chris and I arrived in Philadelphia, PA! Chris has a conference here this week so he brought me along with him to explore. We are staying in Old City, which is the historic part of town. Does this guy’s name look familiar? Yes, the twin bridges in the Capital Region are named after him! I knew his name looked familiar! Exploring Pittsburgh

Greetings again from Pittsburgh. 🙂 Chris and I decided to see the sights (and eat good food) today. It all started here. DeLuca’s Diner supposedly has “the best breakfast in town“, even the guy from Man Vs. Food came here! Chris has been determined to have me eat at all the Pittsburgh staple restaurants while I’m visiting, so DeLuca’s was the first stop today! DeLuca’s had a very hometown diner kind of feel to it! Chris ordered a “mixed grill”, eggs, meat, and veggies. So much food! I, on the other hand, decided to go with the Strawberries & Cream Buckwheat Waffle. I’ve never had buckwheat before, but it didn’t…

    Hot Yoga in Saratoga

I feel so refreshed and rejuvenated after taking my first hot yoga class at Hot Yoga Saratoga. Katie invited Rebecca, Courtney and I to attend a class with her this morning. I’m so glad she did because I feel great right now. I fueled this morning with half a bowl of vegan overnight oats that I found on Angela’s blog. I think I made them wrong because they were SO slimey. I did not enjoy the texture of these oats. I probably won’t be having overnight oats again any time soon. So I got up bright and early to meet Courtney and Rebecca and we headed to Saratoga to meet…
