Lunch at Candle Cafe NYC
As you probably now I’m not vegan, but I LOVE eating at vegan restaurants because it means I can eat 100% of what is on the menu. Since I’m pesco-vegetarian, most of the time I’m looking over restaurant menus skipping over 95% of what are on them. I’d been hearing about Candle 79 and Candle Cafe for years now and I couldn’t miss the chance to finally try one of them. More Fitness Women’s Half Marathon
Well, I’m finally back from my trip this past weekend in New York. Alicia (my travel buddy–we went to DC together last year!) and I took the Megabus down to NYC Friday morning because we were both going to run the More/Fitness Women’s Half Marathon in Central Park! This was Alicia’s first half marathon! I’m so proud of her! The race was yesterday morning, bright and early! The park was looking gorgeous. Run Like a Diva Half Marathon Long Island – Part 2
Race morning came bright and early, as always. Meg, Krista, Julie and I decided ahead of time we would diva it up and wear pink. I even got my first running skirt (on clearance at Target!) for the occassion. And yes, I tested it out on my final long run to see if it was a go–it was comfy! We took the shuttle to the starting line ($7 a person!) and got there at about 6:45ish. The race started at 8:00. Luckily we had enough time to walk to the the bag check, a half a mile away to the finish line. That was a tad bit annoying. We checked…

Run Like a Diva Half Marathon Long Island – Part I
A few months back my college friend Megan found the Run Like a Diva Half Marathon and convinced me and our other friend from college, Krista to run it! (not much convincing needed here). My sister, Julie, also came along to run her very first official 5K the Diva 5K! It was Meg’s second half marathon and Krista’s first! I’m so proud of them both! 🙂 Anyway-the weekend started early Saturday morning when Megan, Julie and I drove down to the Poughkeepsie train station to meet Krista and take the Metro North Railroad down to Grand Central in New York. We ate a quick lunch in Manhattan by Bryant Park,…
