    A Summery Dinner

Look what I finally picked up today!! Caitlin‘s book! I’m soooo excited! I love the whole idea behind Operation Beautiful. You can read more about it on the website. I think this book may help me, actually, because I know I’m guilty of “fat talk” every once in a while (what girl isn’t) because I’ve struggled with a negative self-image for most of my life. I’m slowly learning how to ban fat talk, but it is difficult, I will admit.  Anyway, I can’t wait to read the book. 🙂 Since I’m still pretty low on food due to lack of groceries, I had oatmeal this morning. Never a bad thing.…

    Hip Update

Tuesday is almost over. One day closer to Friday, and that’s a good thing! This blog post is probably going to be all over the place so bear with me. This morning I had a bowl of cereal for breakfast because I’m running out of food and haven’t been to the grocery store in ages. I wanted a smoothie but had no bananas or frozen fruit. Cereal it is! Just a bowl of Kashi H2H cinnamon + Special K Protein, almond milk, with a dab of almond butter and a few mini morsels. Pretty tasty. Not quite as filling as a smoothie though. Lunch was a bowl of one of…

    Hot Yoga in Saratoga

I feel so refreshed and rejuvenated after taking my first hot yoga class at Hot Yoga Saratoga. Katie invited Rebecca, Courtney and I to attend a class with her this morning. I’m so glad she did because I feel great right now. I fueled this morning with half a bowl of vegan overnight oats that I found on Angela’s blog. I think I made them wrong because they were SO slimey. I did not enjoy the texture of these oats. I probably won’t be having overnight oats again any time soon. So I got up bright and early to meet Courtney and Rebecca and we headed to Saratoga to meet…

Adirondack Pub and Brewery + Pirates Cove

If you’re just catching up from this weekend, yesterday Chris and I ran a 10 K in Lake George! Here’s the rest of the day’s adventures following the race. After the 10K, we drove in to the Lake George village, AKA a big tourist trap. Growing up in the Capital District made Lake George a summer hot spot. But It’s getting kind of more like a “been there, done that” type of thing, now. It’s a bit too touristy for my liking, but they did have one good thing. The Adirondack Wine Tasting Room! I left with two bottles of Adirondack wine! Strawsling (strawberry riesling), and Blue Twilight (blueberry shiraz)…

    Chingachgook Challenge 10K

Phew, I’m finally home to blog about my awesome Saturday! Chris and I ran the Chingachgook Challenge 10K in Lake George today, and it was really awesome. But I’ll get to the race re-cap in a minute. Let me rewind to Friday night. Chris and I were in the mood for pizza last night, so we headed over to Inferno Pizza in Colonie. One of the reasons we wanted to go there is because they have outdoor dining and it was a perfect summer evening. Great for outside eating! 😉 We each ordered a drink, I got a glass of Relax Riesling. Drinking wine was probably not the best idea…
