    Real Tree Vs. Fake Tree

Did you all catch my guest post on Heather’s blog on Friday? I wrote about a Green Christmas, go check it out! — One of the hot topics this year when talking about a Green Christmas is the Christmas tree. Is a real tree eco-friendly? Are fake trees bad for the environment?? (source) All in all, I believe getting a real tree for Christmas is the better option for those of you wishing to stay green this holiday season. Fake trees are not good for the environment. According to the National Christmas Tree Association, “most artificial Christmas trees are made of metals and plastics. My Favorite Healthy Foods

As some of you may know, there are some foods that we just always have to have on hand, because we can’t do without them! Since I try to eat as healthy as possible, I need to have these healthy staple foods in my kitchen, all the time! In no particular order… 1. Oats! I love oats so much, I even wrote a post about them. Jen’s Top Five Albany Eateries

Have I ever mentioned on this blog that I loathe chain restaurants? I highly dislike eating at chains (I won’t name names, but I really don’t like most of them), so whenever I go out to eat you can find me at a local establishment. Here are my responses What is your best running memory/experience? One of my best running experience is completing the Boilermaker 15K in July 2010. As of today, this race was the longest distance I’ve ever ran in my life (9.5 miles). I never in a million years thought I’d be running a 15K. It was a challenging race, but I finished, running the entire thing (only stopping for a few seconds to walk through some water stations near the end). I set a goal for…

    Getting Motivated!

Throughout my weight-loss journey, many people have asked me how I get and stay motivated to exercise. It wasn’t so easy for me at first, but now exercising has just become part of my daily routine! I probably work out 5-6 times  a week, even if it’s just going for a short walk to get myself moving. I definitely start to get crabby if I don’t get enough exercise during the week! Think about the results. I know it can be hard to get yourself up and moving, but the reward will be fantastic! You’ll feel better about yourself and you’re burning calories in the process. As long as you’re…
