Weekend Goodness: Margaritas, Sombreros and a Gorgeous Wedding

What a beautiful weekend we had here…it was pretty exciting. Friday night I celebrated my birthday with some friends at El Mariachi. It was such a gorgeous night! I was hoping to be out on the patio but we weren’t, it was still fun though!  The margaritas are amazing at El Mariachi. I ordered the Enchiladas el Mariachi, my favoriteeee dish from here. So glad I got to celebrate with such good friends. Sadly my sister and her boyfriend were absent since they had a wedding to go to in PORTLAND, OR. (I am so jealous!) First Race of 2013 – Bill Hogan 3.5 Miler

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a fun and safe start to 2013. Monday night Chris and I hosted a small get together of a few of our friends, so ringing in the new year was pretty awesome. Scenes from the Weekend

Chris’ Birthday Cheesecake – yes, I made it from scratch! It’s mint chocolate chip with chocolate ganache. The Deathcab for Cutie concert at Brewery Ommegang Saturday night. It was one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. They were incredible & the venue was great. Hope everyone had a great weekend, too!

Firecracker 4 Mile Race and the Fourth of July

Hope everyone had a great Fourth of July holiday! Yesterday I was so busy I didn’t even have time to write my race recap! My July Fourth holiday started in Saratoga Springs for the Firecracker 4 Mile Race. I ran this race two years ago with Chris and knew it would be fun so we both decided to run it again! It was super hot yesterday morning, though.  I only really had one goal for this race: beat my previous time of 37:59. I was pretty skeptical that I could do it since it was a lot hotter this time around and I haven’t been doing any speed training at…
