Last night after work I squeezed in a four mile run. Then I headed to the gym for my first ever personal training session! My sister and I went in for a free session since I’ve been going to my gym for 3.5 months and had yet to take advantage of the personal trainers. She gave us a really great one hour workout, a lot of interval type stuff which I really liked and wouldn’t normally do on my own. I wouldn’t ever pay for a trainer though, unless I had an income that allowed me to do so–but right now I can’t justify the extra expense when I can use the resources online for free weight training, like the Life Fit Trainer I’ve been doing lately.
I’ve been meaning to blog about my new protein powder because I love it so much! It is called Growing Naturals Organic Raw Rice Protein Powder in vanilla blast. Of all the rice protein powders I’ve tried, this is the best! (They didn’t supply me with the protein powder, I bought it myself!) It mixes well with just plain almond milk (although you did a shaker or blender, a spoon won’t do) and tastes so good in my smoothies. My previous powder was very chalky and earthy tasting so I just got used to it since I didn’t know there were tastier ones out there!

I use rice protein because I found the regular whey protein powders irritate my stomach. After my runs, I would drink it and get stomach pains…no fun. So I’ve been using rice protein ever since.
