Looking Forward to 2012

2011 was a great year! I got to to travel, moved to a new apartment, and ran FOUR half marathons (among other races!) It was exciting to say the least. But instead of writing about what happened in the past, here are a few things I’m looking forward to in 2012.

Florida Vacation!

Chris and I already have our trip booked for the end of March (when we’re going to need it most, March has the worst winter weather!) and we’ll be staying with my parents, who live there in winter.  I’m currently planning what we’ll be doing while we’re there…hopefully going to the beach. A lot!

In May Chris and I are both signed up for the Pittsburgh Half Marathon again! We loved it last year. We also visit and stay with his parents while we’re there and we always have such a great time.  I’m really looking forward to it.

Running 26.2

I don’t think I’ve officially announced it on the blog yet, but I’m going to run my first marathon in the fall of next year! I’m being really picky–I want to run one in November since I love training the late summer and fall! I also want to run somewhere awesome, not my hometown.  I think I have enough running experience to finally run a full marathon, even though I swore I never would want to run one. Its funny how things change. I’m going to do it! I’m going to enter the lottery for NYC marathon, but I probably won’t get in…so I’m planning on running the Richmond Marathon on November 10, 2012.
