Following yesterday’s Warrior Dash, it seemed appropriate to get dinner at a Brewery in Windham called Cave Mountain. The place was cute, perfect for a small ski town. I can picture groups of people eating here after a day on the slopes. But, yesterday it was full of dirty Warriors. 
They had a bunch of beer on tap, which was a pretty decent selection.
Normally I am a wine girl, but for some reason it just seemed right to have a beer after running that race. I went with the seasonal Blueberry Wheat. It was really tasty. I have determined that my favorite types of beer are light, fruity beers.
Brendan and I split some onion rings to start. They were crispy and came with a spicy ketchup for dipping. So good.
Sadly, my dinner options were quite limited. There was only one vegetarian option on their small menu, a veggie burger. It came with either fries or a salad, so I went with the latter with balsamic dressing. It was either that or fish and chips, and I wasn’t in the mood for anything too greasy. Veggie burger it was.
It was really good–but I feel anything would have tasted good, as I was starving. But the fact that it was on Ciabatta bread made it better, the bread was delicious. My meal hit the spot after a grueling race. However, I wish there were more healthy items on the menu, but I guess you really can’t expect much from a pub.
This was on the wall of the ladies room, kind of neat.
